Explore our exciting range of dry white, red wines and rose wines from Germany, plus some luscious sweet dessert wines. Many of the wines are gold medal winners and the vineyards are praised by the likes of Oz Clarke and Hugh Johnson.
All our wines are natural wines with zero/minimal use of pesticides and no additives to the wine in the cellar. We will soon be stocking biodynamic wines which are making a further move away from the branded wines so prevalent today.
Our goal is simple, we want you to find out about and enjoy some of the superb wines now being produced in southern Germany. We are importing German wines from small vineyards in the famed Kaiserstuhl/Tuniberg/Durbach areas of Baden, typically not available elsewhere in Britain, made to the exacting standards required in Germany.
As German wine merchants we keep our costs to a minimum by buying direct from the growers, bringing the wine over ourselves and selling direct to UK customers, retail or trade.
From our wine lists, organised by vineyard:
* savour the fruity, white Grauburgunder (pinot gris) and Weissburgunder (pinot blanc),
* try the full-flavoured spaetlese wines (grapes left on the vine an extra 3 weeks for a deeper, more intense flavour)
* enjoy the subtle, light, red Spaetburgunders (pinot noir) that are now beating French burgundies in top competitions
* and yes, we do have some scrumptious, dry, flinty Rieslings.
